Kayla Drake

Kayla Drake brings deep experience in strategic communications, journalism, and nonprofit advocacy to her role at Momentum. With a background in government affairs, coalition building, public policy, and workforce development, she is known for her results-oriented approach to stakeholder engagement and grassroots advocacy.

 

Before joining Momentum, Kayla worked as an advocacy assistant for the Civil Liberties Union for Europe and as a journalist and producer for St. Louis Public Radio, where she translated complex political issues into accessible stories. She later served as an employment counselor for a refugee resettlement agency, helping nearly 100 refugees secure their first jobs in the U.S. Kayla holds a master’s degree in Political Science and Public Affairs from Saint Louis University in Madrid. Her mission-driven focus helps organizations communicate effectively and expand their impact.
