Alysen Nesse
Alysen brings thirteen years of public and private sector leadership to the Momentum team. Some highlights of the last three years are: leading the strategic charge to secure the state’s largest ongoing investment in combating homelessness with passage of the Pathway Home Act in 2023, securing significant investments in HIV/AIDS supportive services, and working in coalition to raise the profile for the need for dedicated ongoing funding for housing, working directly with the chairs in the establishment of the Metro Area Sales Tax. Before joining Momentum in 2022, Alysen served as the Senior Government Relations Representative for the City of Minneapolis. At the City, she developed and led the City’s capital investment, economic and workforce development, housing, commercial development finance, transportation, and public finance issue portfolios at the state and federal levels. Before the City of Minneapolis, Alysen worked as a Project Manager for the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation, the HUD funded economic and housing development agency created to revitalize and rebuild lower Manhattan post 9/11.
