Isabella Rojas

Isabella “Izzy” graduated from Iowa State University with a BA in Political Science and History. At Iowa State, Izzy was active in advancing equitable racial representation in ISU student government. In Iowa she also advocated at both the state and local level. Izzy laid groundwork for equitable housing policy and passed a medical amnesty bill into law. She participated in research on how to structure and pass Gender Balance legislation in the state of Iowa. Izzy also advocated at the Federal level for Pell Grant expansion, mental health research, and higher-education funding. Most recently, she worked in the United Kingdom’s House of Commons during Brexit where she worked on constituent relations and campaign strategy for a member of Parliament. Izzy joined the team in 2020. At the Minnesota Legislature, Izzy works in most committees at the Capitol. Izzy is a proud alumni of, and now leads the state delegation and the lobbyist program, for Youth in Government. She is passionate about ensuring that youth across Minnesota have access and understanding of all levels of government.
